He gave books as gifts to his friends, his children and the children of the martyrs. The notes he wrote to their authors and books made them famous.
He followed up and encouraged the translation of some books into other languages. He would introduce the book at any ceremony you needed. He himself reads books at every opportunity. For example, while travelling from Baghdad to the Kurdistan Region, in the car or even on the plane.
Once he wore reading glasses and took careful notes. It’s as if he is drawing up a plan for an important operation or writing a letter to an important person. The book he wrote down was nothing more than “News of a Kidnapping” by Gabriel García Márquez.
